Welcome to Jenn’s Net. I like to call it Jenn’s Net because of my favorite scripture and writings in the bible. Where Jesus calls the first disciples. Luke 5:4 When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, “Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch.” Through my journey with Christ I like to think of myself as a disciple. I have finally let down my nets. I look at that two different ways.. I have tried to put down the things in the world that keep me from getting closer to God. Then I look at it like everything I do I try to make sure I am looking for a way to catch someone for the kingdom. Matthew 4:19-22 says 19 “Then he said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 and immediately they left their nets and followed Him. 21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, he called them, 22 and immediately the left the boat and their father, and followed Him. The study section of my bible says that Jesus began His public ministry by calling disciples; He came to invite people to Himself. His call and their response in following Him illustrate the meaning of discipleship. Jesus calls us to leave our old sinful way of life and to live according to His teaching and pattern. As we follow, He makes us more like Himself, fishers of men: True disciples of Jesus lead others to their Master. The disciple must not hesitate to leave everything that interferes with faithfully following Christ. So there you have it.. Jenn’s Net….
How cool would it be to have Jesus Christ himself walk up to YOU and say follow me… How many of us would say.. wait but.. i got to do this first… etc..
