Keep in mind if you are in a trial that brokenness is often the road to breakthrough. Be encouraged.
I find encouragement in these scriptures.
John 8:32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
2 Chronicles 20:20 “Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord you God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things I am a conqueror through him that loves me.
Jeremiah 1:12 Then said the Lord unto me, Though hast well seen : for i will hasten my word to perform it
1 Peter 4:19 so if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you
Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints”
God calls us to walk by faith, not talk by faith. Faith involves your feet. Your faith shows up in your actions. WE have to remember others see us, hear us and look to us.. What are they seeing in you? So many times I will hear someone say how they trust God , or how God is in control in one breath and in the next breath speak sickness, bad finances, curse their marriage, or kids.. It takes me to the scripture that says that light and dark can not be in the same place. If we want our children to have a faith that influences the way they live their lives — and the critical life decisions they make — then in our homes we need to be modeling faith through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith for me is fun. It takes me out of my box. I used to NOT like to be out of my comfort zone. But now I love stepping out. I will admit that it might take me a few “discussions” with the Lord and a few extra prompts from him but I will always obey him. Even when it seems useless, impossible and just CRAZY. so today I am encouraging you to step out in faith!
defending the faith.. asking god questions
Negative attitudes and behaviors can help sink a marriage, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Developing reasonable expectations and overcoming traits like selfishness can help couples not only stay afloat, but embark on a successful voyage.
Being a team player not only goes for marriages but in all that we do. The scripture that comes to mind is the one that says that we are to do EVERYTHING as unto the Lord. Your jobs and family life will get better once you can be a team player. A bad attitude usually hurts more people than just you. I had a good life lesson on parts of my attitude last week while in Florida at the Christian Music Broadcasting seminar. God showed me over and over just how much I have to be grateful for, but yet I complain constintly about that very same stuff. There is good and bad with everything and everyone you deal with in life. So today choose to be a team player..
With the holiday weekend and the Christian Music Broadcasting seminar last week, I decided to make one post for the days we missed. I hope this is useful in some way.
Day 27 Today I will choose family activities wisely
It’s easy to get overcommitted! So, how do you handle family activities? What’s too much? Do you have limits? Most people think activities outside the home are good for kids. But have you ever thought about what all those activities really mean to your family’s schedule and to your time together?
Day 28 Today I will create a cell phone contract for my child
What do YOU think? Does your child have a cell phone? How young is too young? Do you have a contract for them?
We want your opinion! Cell phones. We love them, and we hate them. Don’t just “phone it in” when it comes to guiding and protecting your kids by setting limits on cell phone use.
Day 29 Today I will honor my children
Have you thought about honoring your family? What are some of the ways you would honor them? A busy man like Tony Dungy has learned how to get the most out of the time when he’s together with his family. One key is his willingness to do what his kids want to do – even when it’s not necessarily what he would choose.
Day 30 Today I will learn about debt and take steps to be debt free
Many American families find themselves in debt at some point, and it can certainly seem overwhelming. Start by learning how to tackle the problem more effectively with a debt roll-down method (.pdf). If you’re debt‐free, how did you do it? How do you stay out of debt?
