I borrowed this from a fb page… I really needed to hear it today.. and see the mental picture that it gives… When the storm is pounding on me it seems I forget how much he cares for and protects me!!

Close your eyes, and imagine for just a minute the comfort to be found wrapped in the wings of our Heavenly Father. Feel His warmth and peace while you nestle into His body, and listen to the rhythmic beating of His heart. Breathe in and inhale His fragrance. He longs for this closeness with you. His desire is to protect and defend you from the enemy’s arrows. This picture of intimacy with the Lord isn’t a fantasy, it isn’t a lovely picture, it is real, and you can have it today. Draw close to Him, and His word promises He will draw close to you.
The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the river of your delights.” Psalm 36:7-8
